Welcome to The MacKenzie Lodge

Mackenzie-Lodge-Rooms

Welcome to MacKenzie Lodge No. 93. Our Lodge meets at the Lodge Rooms in Gall Street, Fairlie monthly. We provide fellowship for our members and an opportunity for personal development through leadership, oratory, and social service. We enjoy social activities with our wives and families, and look for opportunities to contribute to the communities in which we live.

Lodge-3

We have built new Lodge rooms at 44 Gall St, Fairlie and these were officially opened on August 31st 2013 by MWBro Selwyn Cooper and Grand Lodge officers. The modern facility incorporates all the mod cons you would expect, including air-conditioning, full insulation for the colder climes and a modern refectory and kitchen, capable of attending to the needs of the brethren and the local community.

We welcome inquiries about Freemasonry, our Lodge and our activities and would be pleased to hear from men interested in joining us. We currently boast a membership of 58 with a possible two more men joining in the 2014 year.

THE MACKENZIE LODGE NO. 93 - CENTENNIAL BURSARY

The Mackenzie Lodge No. 93 celebrated its Centennial in April 1994. To mark the occasion .it was decided to set up a Centennial Bursary, administered by the Centennial Committee. Funding for this project was originally to be raised by means of a Cattle Scheme in which cattle were bought at sales, grazed by farming members, and sold after a period at a profit. These assets are now maturing and the interest is providing the required funding. Further finance is being provided by the brethren in various fund-raising activities.

For a start, two Bursaries were to be presented to students who were children of residents or rate payers of the Mackenzie District Council Area, to assist towards first year Tertiary Education.

To date the sum of $ 25,500.00 has been awarded. In 2013 the bursaries plus 'three prizes for most improved musicians from Mackenzie College, were awarded.
